Syma S107 Helicopter flight times
The Syma S107 is a very popular micro RC helicopter that is especially suited for beginners. One of the questions I am often asked what time the flight is to be expected from a S107?
The answer is: it depends. I know, terrible answer. Unfortunately, the reality is that there is much variability, when it comes to flight times, or more specifically, battery life, which determines the flight time is over. Battery life varies depending on factors such as age of the battery asBattery is charged, the number of cycles that has passed through, and the load on the battery (which varies depending on how aggressively fly the helicopter).
Given the variables mentioned above, I would say that a new fully charged S107 helicopter hovering smoothly, you could stay for about 5-7 minutes in the air. If you fly around a lot, can be as low as 3-4 minutes. If the battery is fully charged when it is overloaded or loads quickly, flight times may bemuch less. It 'also important to note that over time, with more charge cycles and age, the battery capacity is reduced, leaving you with less flight time.
Finally, the battery is unusable. In general, if you start to see a flight time of less than a minute, it's probably time to toast the start, given the battery. But do not throw your helicopter again. Replace the battery in a S107 is a fairly simple process and certainly much more convenientto trash a perfectly functioning helicopter. Only yourself a spare battery is the same or bigger (why not to update a little 'time you're at it). After removing the battery, only the hood, pull the old battery and slide in the new, re-balance the helicopter, and discard the lid.
It can be frustrating when you lose the helicopter seems to have their jam. Unfortunately, it is inevitable. The good news is that if you prepare it and buy parts so proactivedowntime can be avoided.
