Radio Control helicopters had a rough start in early 1970. They were primitive vehicles compared to today, what is available, only to float just enough controllability or run slow forward flight. This helicopter is an example of the first commercially produced and successful in the United States, operating model, the 505 Whirlybird designed by Dave Gray and Du-Bro product, manufacturers of accessories for R / C model aircraft. There is no discussion with the tail rotor as you normally wouldfound on a modern R / C Heli, the engine runs at the top of the main rotor and the fuel tank under the engine running and no way to monitor the tank. If the engine quits the helicopter is like a string of support have been cut. The flight time is strictly limited to six minutes for security reasons. Thanks to Joel Rosenzweig for recording this video!
